And so that arduous human migration continues to this day. I think mine were extremely docile folk just looking for a place to raise a few chickens, cows, kids. They earned and paid for whatever they had by working hard and putting their time in helping to create and defend the laws that the control freaks of the day decided should govern their little piece of nirvana.

It wasn't their fault that others came before them and behaved like every other human population hell bent on getting what it wants through violent means. Remember Genghis, Cortez? You can find lots of information about British rule in New Zealand here, sas.ac.uk

They heard through the grapevine that there was a really cool place with lots of water, trees, wild game and endless tracts of land where they could exist without someone breathing down their necks. I wonder if they came with a sense of who the true and rightful inhabitants should be?

I suppose Americans will end up paying money to the "original inhabitants" whoever they are?

Seems lately like nobody should be allowed to succeed. What is with that anyway?
