stan - better KISS than fight. LOL.
IMO the divergence of the indexes is more complex and should need to drill down up to well defined sectors sub-components.
Ending up with the classic sector rotation in which one should differenciate between large and small caps.
Which would end up comparing one company to the other. = stock screening. <vbg>

Agree with you, our index divergences will ultmately confirm (lagging) middle-term moves.
Let's go back to more practical DD.
