DJ H-P Launch -2: Fiorina: 'Ready To Do Business' >HPQ

PALO ALTO, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Days after closing its hard-fought acquisition of Compaq Computer Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) launched the new company with a focus on product offerings, market and brand plans and recent customer wins.

"After eight months and millions of hours of integration planning by our teams, today we are ready to do business as the new HP," said Chairman and Chief Executive Carly Fiorina, whose leadership at Hewlett-Packard largely hinged on completion of the Compaq deal.
