AA, I kind of already did something like that. I did not want to go into CSCO naked (I was flat), so I got 1/3 BTK puts at 382. I'm planning on possibly getting another 1/3 at 395-400, and another 1/3 at 406-410.

That sentence right there is what makes the difference between being an average trader and a good trader.

Thanks for typing out your thought process.

In any case, the chances are quite good that the turn will happen before you lay on the last third, unless one of your faults is not being patient.

My greatest fault. I'm working on it though...
Cold beer on a hot day is another fault. I'll have to work on that one at another time. Perhaps next winter.

Today is testing my patience. Back outside for another walk.

There sure is a fine line between being patient and being stubborn against a wrong way market.
I guess I'll let my stops decide which is right.
