speaking of hummingbirds: Up at the Lake place this weekend. Burning brush, mowing grass, cleaning shoreline, etc. Was forced to take a short break to do one of the things men do standing, women do sitting, and boy-dogs do on three legs. Hiding between the brush covered barbed wire fence line and the garage blissfully relaxing when ~ durn green bellied hummingbird approaches rather close, hovers momentarily observing the stream (which shut off rather quickly LOL) then flew on about it's business. I've never zipped so rapidly in my whole life. Have you ever looked closely at the beak on those things?
