AMAT is with a bunch of other semi and semiequip stocks in Monterey today for the (I think) Smith Barney conference. General mood going into the conference was upbeat. Today has to be making those folks feel even better. Now, they need to give out some solid sense of improving conditions and we can hold on, then move up.

AMAT is presenting, I think. With earnings so close, they will probably just smile a lot (I hope not frown a lot).
