don't you feel that some agendas are allowed a little too much influence

How is that possible? We do have the "spoils system" at the presidential level and we do have lobbyists at the congressional level. Why are these allowed to continue, except that they have never mentioned, but very valuable, virtues?

Is every deviation from uniformity to be abhorred? That's quite a change in belief for the generation
of the revolution and of all powas to da peepulz.

It seems human nature to seek to control in order to instill the good. What has come out of such attempts are idealizations like the Soviet Union. Who can judge what is a "little too much influence"? Who is to judge when the judge himself has been dragged before the bar?

This thread is an embarrassment to SI, eh?

So Smart Investors Gather Hereā„¢ - but who are all these other people????

This thread reminds me of a similar hot thread last fall, whose goal was (I think) elimination of illegal naked offshore shorting, which, as everyone knows, is the reason stocks go down. Just like this one, it was started by a penny-stock pimp with an abysmal track record. And full of the "people are pointing out the stupidity of our premise, so we must have hit a nerve with the big boyz" routine too.

Sigh...
