No, it would mean that public employees installed:

the plumbing
the heating system
the glass in the windows
the locks on the doors

And what is your point: That if the employee is paid by the government he will hook up the plumbing backwards, or do it really really slowly?! The famous fowler effect?!

Most businesses are pretty much useless to me as I do not use them. I value a couple of grocery chains and the local liquor store. I was not ranting about anything. I was defending the notion that productive employees are productive even when they work for businesses or agencies which may not be universally supported or liked. A person can be productive selling skin creme whether I buy it or not. And a firefighter may be productive at putting out a fire whether it is my home or not. This is either clear to you or it is not.
