Ahhaha, Name-calling never wins points: “Nasdaq market making firms and their traders” the investigators charged, “coordinated their trading and other activities with other market makers to create false or misleading appearances in, or otherwise artificially influence, the market for various Nasdaq stocks.

Read the article and the SEC charges against Market Maker just posted. I don't believe we are just talking OTC/BB. But even if we were, are you saying that it's OK for Market Makers to manipulate in that Market?

And why so defensive? This is a discussion, not a trial. Again, you (ahhha) claimed strongly that no Market Makers manipulate and furthermore, that is was not possible for them to do so. When ANYONE makes a bold statements like that, and it is clearly incorrect, it will be taken to task.

I know that the vast majority of the time and with most Market Makers, there is no problem, but to say there has never been manipulation, and that it wasn't possible, is naive, horribly misinformed, or much worse.
