"You have linked Barrick to everything from Enron to defunct hedgefunds and called Barrick employees liars, cheats and incompetent managers." I would like to clarify that I actually have a lot of respect for Barrick's operational managers. I think they are some of the best in the mining business. And frankly while I might disagree with some of the top management, almost all of the Barrick employees I have ever met have been exceedingly nice and competent people.

I never said anyone was a liar or a cheat. I do think that Barrick might have had a few things in common with the creative accounting of Enron but I can not prove that so I will let it set.

I take it that the option reductions will not really reduce anything and that my statement below is mistaken?

"Barrick management appears to be coming around to this realization with there reduction in the hedge selling to only 50% this year."
