Because that would have involved doing some actual work rather than just passing on the contents of a fully-transcribed conference call. I am guessing that the retailers probably like this scenario better than the possiblity of losing a brand name, but at the management level they'll be scrambling for other "brand name" alternatives, especially as HP attempts to strongly differentiate the two brands and aim them at distinct markets. mg
