The field Solon described is a conservative field since a potential energy is associated with it.
Actually it is conservative because the change in potential energy between two points is independent of the path taken between the two points. But close enough.

Look, if you know something about this stuff, why do you go plunging off into the weeds? You don't need "Newton's Third Law of Motion" to say "If you hit me, I'll hit you back." In fact, it is misleading.

The 3rd Law always applies. SO: If the analogy you wish to draw about the use of force is correct, why was there no shooting when Hitler's armies crossed the borders of Austria and Czechoslovakia in the late 1930's? The laws of physics don't not work except when they do.

NOW do you get it?

I've never heard a field described as"liberal"
Just doing physics via politics. Something you should be familiar with.
