Different strokes for different folks. Yep. :) I have no doubt that your sages and teachers followed along similar paths as Christ. They definitely touched upon the heart of existence. Yet, why would one strive so hard to reach a place where he becomes nothing? In the end you have no identity. You lose your "self". That is the opposite of Christianity which teaches that once one loses his self to Christ will he actually find himself. I realize you believe Christianity to be a knock off of eastern religions, but their core beliefs are exact opposites.
