Brocade rallies on OEM pact with IBM
Brocade Communications (BRCD) is tacking on $1.92, or 8.8 percent, to $23.70 in

pre-open trading after the network storage company said its SilkWorm 12000 core

fabric network switch will be used by IBM (IBM) as part of an OEM (original

equipment manufacturer) agreement. Financial terms of the deal were not

disclosed. IBM's stock, a component of the Dow industrials ($INDU), is rallying

$2.31, or 2.8 percent, to $84.50 over the Redibook ECN. Separately, Brocade

said it would team with Nortel Networks (NT) to deliver optical storage area

network services to enterprise customers.
