Hadn't thought of that. In the backhoe you're a dinosaur with a really long neck and one powerful jaw and immobile legs. Although you can drag yourself along the ground.

In a track excavator you're a completely mobile dinosaur wearing steel sneakers and not only have a longer neck and can reach your feet with your jaws, having a thumb gives you a pair of jaws. Now *that* sounds like the most fun way to destroy a car!

All I can do is smash it, with limited ability to bend it. You can put your feet on it, grab a mouthful, and rip said mouthful right off of it or fold it into the rest of the car.

Cool!

I tore down the barn with a rented backhoe long ago prior to burning it (the barn) and that was definitely fun.

Another thing I envy about excavators is their range of motion. Don't you get pretty close to 360 degrees? I get more like 150. Dipping out a pond would definitely work a lot better in a machine like that.
