If someone gave Arafat pre WWII Russia to rule I doubt he would kill 20 million of his own people.

From what I have read about him Arafat is paranoid but not as much as Stalin was, and he only cares about ruling the Palestinians, not about imposing some radical program on them even if it makes them starve by the millions. He has done horrible things intentionally and also made really stupid mistakes that have resulted in a lot of suffering for his people. He would be near the bottom of the barrell if you where looking for some one to lead a country, but Stalin was one of the very few worst in the last couple of hundred years. I would place Stalin with people like Hitler and Pol Pot. Arafat is more your garden variety brutal thug, maybe more like Saddam Hussien or Fidel Castro.

Now lets take a look at arafat who is also a terrorist for a "cause" with only slight variations on the theme. Imagine if someone would give him a small country to rule let alone Russia and then tell me that he is no Stalin

Albert, Arafat was from the upper middle classes and graduated with a degree in engineering. I don't think he and Stalin had the same beginnings.
