A quick check in Yahoo shows that throughout its existence QCOM generated net retained earnings of $428 million as of March 28. Divide that by 770 million shares and you come up with around 60 cents a share. Since QCOM's book value is around $7 a share, the bulk of it has come from issuing stock.

If you are interested in a specific year, you can do these calculations easily enough by comparing retained earnings of that year and the year before.
