Yes, it is. Part of my ignorance of government shenanigans has come from my loathing of it and my feeling of a complete impotence to change anything within the gov't that directly affects me. I suspect the majority of people below 60 feel this way. That's why I'm a stout Republican. At least, they are the lesser of two evils. You know Bush wanted to try to privatize part of our social security benefits, but of course, the Democrats went nuts. Partisanship in this country has gotten so bad that you'd think Democrats and Republicans were sworn enemies, instead of compatriots with the good of America at the front of their minds.
