And rightly so, because Bush's "plan" was totally half-baked in that it refused to acknowledge that putting current receipts into private accounts would leave massive unfunded liabilities to people who are counting a SS today.

Further, my opinion is that while a privatized system would likely work out better for a committed and knowledgable investor like you (as well as the majority of well-off people who support Bush), what do you propose to do about people who will never make enough money in their lifetimes to save for a decent retirement? Let them eat dirt?

Democratic mantra: Tax and Spend (on pork, social programs that don't work, and welfare )
Republican mantra: Borrow and Spend (on pork, weapons, prisons, farm subsidies, and welfare for the Fortune 500)

Say again, which is the lesser evil?
