exactly WHAT would you have had GWB and his administration do re pre- 9/11????

I know, wouldn't it have been great if they didn't drop the investigation of Usama Bin Laden while they were trying to gain the rest of the Bin Laden family's favor as well as the Taliban for their oil pipeline deal through Afganistan. Then UBL wouldn't have had the immediate need to try and start a pan-arabic war.
nowtoronto.com

the FBI was hamstrung prior to September 11 not only because U.S. officials were unwilling to make an issue of al Qaeda's connections to wealthy Saudis, but also because the U.S. didn't want to disrupt talks with the Taliban over building an oil pipeline to Central Asia.

How about alerting ALL airlines against the possibility that the KNOWN terrorists should be screened off planes?
mmmmmmmmm
How about investigating the flight schools?
mmmmmmmmm
How about assigning a group of "intelligence" officers to further make sure reports coming were actually followed up?
mmmmmmmmm
How about not distancing the US from ALL other intelligence agencies from our allies.....of course those allies which had been dissed SO badly by this administration from the day it came to power?

Re: "What would you have had GWB and his administration do ..."

Honesty.

Openness with the American people.

Candor.

Three concepts unknown to this imperial presidency.

Even Michael Savage, extreme right-wing AM radio talk show host and columnist for Newsmax.com, went ballistic on the air tonight over how the Bush administration has handled this.

P.S. Your attempts to constantly shift the blame to the Clinton administration only make you look like a fool, K. No one buys that newsmax.com schtick.
