I wonder why people still say she's a "winner?" What did she ever win?

Yes, she helped "build up" Lucent. We now know that Lucent was a house of cards, a one-trick pony that was built up largely on unrealistic projections, merger-accounting "revenues," and endless "one time charges." It's also clear that virtually everybody in management knew it was a house of cards. The only reason Carly "won" is because she jumped ship before the inevitable collapse, trading in her overvalued options for a more solid guarantee from HP.

And what has she "won" at HP. Not anything yet. A neat marketing campaign. A "reorganization" that doesn't make sense to most of the people in the organization and doesn't take into account the organization's capabilities and strengths. Now a merger that has little support among the employees and barely a majority among the shareholders. Yes, she has balls. So did Lee at Gettysburg. That's not enough.
