Is HPQ going to beat Dell in PCs?
Is HPQ going to do better than IBM or SUNW in high end Unix servers?
Is HPQ going to surpass IBM, Hitachi or EMC in high end storage?

No. No way. No chance. No how.

All that HPQ is going to do is reduce headcount, look OK for about a year, and then continue losing share and losing money in its main areas, PCs, low end Wintel servers and low end storage.

The only good thing about HPQ is the printing and imaging business, and now it is less visible in the revenue stream than before the merger due to the addition of all of CPQ's crummy businesses.

So HPQ expects to make about $1.50 EPS in the first fiscal year after the merger. And then $1.35 in the 2nd fiscal year. And $1.20 in the third. And $1.00 in the fourth..........

>>>And what has she "won" at HP. Not anything yet. <<<

Give it up Mike, unless you are a writer for Forbes that specializes in hatchet jobs.

>>>. Now a merger that has little support among the employees <<< Note that a majority of the shares in the 401 K plans held by HWP voted in favor of the merger.

>>>and barely a majority among the shareholders. <<<
President Bush never got close to a majority of all voters and his party still calls him the winner.

If you have so much unhappiness with this merger...sell your shares and move on to greener pastures. IBM looks good at 85 and MSFT around 50 is another sure winner. No need to hang around HPQ if you feel they have no future.

"What did she ever win?"-- she won the CEO position & the merger fight against WW. Lets put you and me on the same scale.. I have balls and I'm a winner but that lady is way above me. Even if she is not entirely successful she has WON more than most ever will.
