Meanwhille Qcom will have a dual mode GSM/CDMA chip and a 1xrt upgrade for GSM when this happens it will be lights out for NOK.

OK, it's been a while since I looked at this business in a superficial way, but maybe I'm getting the idea now...

Feel free to point out any errors here...

There is three digital technologies for mobiles and "PDA's" etc to communicate. (never mind what they mean)

(1) GSM Europe type of thing.
(2) CDMA USA type of thing.
(3) Combined GSM and CDMA technology.

There is also advancing technology to improve data transmission rate etc.

GSM has the biggest customer base, CDMA is having market growth, BUT the combined GSM-CDMA is where its at. The unit cost (for a mobile) for the combined technology is higher but new chip technology is eating into the overall cost. NOK is just staying typically to GSM (single tech currently cheaper) standard without fully embracing the combined technology.

If I got this straight, by looking into some manufacturing stuff, I can work out some best bets (perhaps) -g-
