I think the government is working overtime already. I hope so. . . .double overtime . . .septuple overtime . . . This net we've cast to protect ourselves is still porous, and a determined terrorist will succeed on some level. If Israel, with a highly competent intelligence service, a very specific (relatively small) population to observe in a specific (and small) geographic area, can't stop suicide bombers, I question our odds of doing so. I have no doubt Mecca and Medina would be considered targets for retaliation, but if we do that, then we'll become the target of Muslims worldwide, in perpetuity . . . why not--what else would they have to lose? Damn, and it's such a pretty day here . . .
