"Innocent until proven guilty in this country."

I didn't think that applied to Arabs. Isn't he Egyptian?

As a legal matter, innocent until proven guilty. As a practical matter, the federal government doesn't lightly bring criminal racketeering and extortion charges. Most prosecutors feel they don't have a good batting average if they can't post a 90% conviction rate. Certainly, Amir Elgindy is still legally innocent, but any one who was affected by the stock activity he's accused of has a high likelihood of benefiting or losing as a result of criminal activity. And let's not pretend he's a virgin in the courts, either.
