There should be a lot of wars brewing soon. Someone I know at a central texas military base is busy. It seems that all the tanks and trucks got painted green for their trip to Bosnia. They are busy painting them brown.

I hadn't seen that; it's alarming. I hope folks are working to diffuse that situation. The threat of nuclear war; people being injected with identity tags; bioengineered food and Bush in the WH seems prophetical, the kind of prophecy you hoped you'd never see.

The reaction is "Yawwwn ... it won't happen 'till September anyway". Apparently they don't want to comment until it's politically expedient to do so.

The Administration seems to have a lot of trouble dealing with more than one problem at a time. As soon as a story moves off the front page they drop it.

The Bush Administration has set the 'world standard' on how to deal with conflict, as soon as they started bombing Afghanistan and sent troops into the region. The Administration set the world policy: every country has a right to defend itself against terrorism. Perhaps that's true; they overlook that each side [or country] sees the other side as committing terrorism. Hell with diplomacy, bring out the tanks and bombs. Now it's time for India and Pakistan to play copy-cat.
