Sorry, LP. I've tuned you out.

OK, I understand. You really had only two choices from the start: acceptance or cowardice. You now have a third color to add to your gray and red: yellow.

I was right, you are just arguing to argue, but this isn't debate class, it's the real world.

You are couching your inability to make a potent counterargument via feigned dismissal. It's a technique which others have used in the past, and is often coupled with a ban from a particular thread, the appearance of some mystery posters, representation of oneself as speaking on behalf of some great masses of supporters, or another similar tactic, whether groundless, spineless, or both.

I'm going to bet, though, that you haven't completely tuned me out, and that you'll respond to my posts in the future.

So I accept your withdrawal and resignation.

Those who would sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither.

LP.

Dave, re: LP

I don't agree with everything LP says (particularly when it comes to Merrill Lynch research practices), but I do think his thinking is definitely more "real world" than most, if not all, the financial writers and academics who often pose as experts in all matters financial.
