I think President Bush should have made those phone calls.

Isn't that a conundrum? As Head of State and the import of the situation, you would think that Bush would make the calls. But given that you've heard Bush speak off-the-cuff, would you really want him or Powell to make the call?

What might he say...Hey, you Pakis need cool it. Come to the ranch and we'll have some ribs.
