Interesting arguments from Kristol, Bill. I'm not certain what to do with them. I'll just have to keep them in mind.

Kristol's position here is suspect to me but doesn't necessarily make these arguments bad. His formerly nuanced positions on the ME have conflated into the same as Sharon and the right wing in Israel.

LindyBill - re: Saudi payment to suicide/homicide bombers. My understanding is that the Saudis give money to all families of Palestinians who were killed in the Intifada.

They don't distinguish between Palestinians who were accidentally killed by the IDF, Palestinians who were deliberately killed by settlers, suicide/homicide bombers, or what have you.

It's not a reward for terrorism, its a form of charity.

If I am wrong, please correct me.

I remember seeing a few months ago on cable news, probably CNN, that IDF will level the houses of suicide/homicide bombers. I would not give the report any credibility except for the fact that the person who said this was a white American working for the World Bank. I may be getting senile.
