Hi CobaltBlue; Re: "I remember seeing a few months ago on cable news, probably CNN, that IDF will level the houses of suicide/homicide bombers. I would not give the report any credibility except for the fact that the person who said this was a white American working for the World Bank. I may be getting senile."

I was under that impression too. And I know I'm getting senile, what's a matter of debate is how quickly and how far.

From the Jerusalem Post:

...
The operation also included the takeover of the al-Amri refugee camp, from where three suicide bombers have launched attacks on Israel. One of them was a female suicide bomber who blew herself up on Jerusalem's Jaffa Road. The IDF destroyed her home yesterday.

I was under the impression that destroying the home of suicide bombers (more precisely, their parents or other relative's house), was part of the reprisals that Israel found ineffective some time ago. That's why they escalated to the military operations which are also, unsurprisingly, turning out to be ineffective.

Maybe a better word than "ineffective" would be "incomplete". The war continues. But it's now evident that in order to keep the suicide bombing rate close to zero the Israelis will have to keep constant permanent occupation of the Palestinian areas. I doubt that they have the diplomatic capital to pull it off.

Saudi payment to suicide/homicide bombers.

They admit to that, but I have read that they have been pouring money into most of the radical terrorist groups on the sly, and denying it.

I may be getting senile.

Naah. I am the one having the "Senior moments"

Cobalt, here in the state, the government confiscates all property of drug dealers, and in some cases tax evaders, maybe instead of "razing" those properties, Sharon should simply "confiscate" the properties of bona fide terrorists? I am just trying to find a model of disincentive (in lieu of the Saudi/Iraqi incentive of $30,000 to the family of homicide bombers) to become a homicide bomber.
