Hi Michael,

Thanks for the correction on Harken Energy. How about the failure to file a Rule 144 report? I know GWB said that the SEC "lost" the paperwork. Now that sounds kinda like a red herring to my ear. Any idea where the truth lies on that matter?

So, now that you've shot down the "Harken hardship for the retail investor" story, what's your view on the scandalous way that GWB and cronies manipulated the county "condemnation" procedures in the run-up to building the Texas Rangers ballpark? It seems that there is ample evidence there that GWB manipulated public policy and public employees for his own private gain. Comments welcomed.

-R.

Well, I dunno Michael,

Harken looks like an empty bag to me:

finance.yahoo.com

Now trading at $0.58.

How about that other Bush Family Vehicle, Zapata?

finance.yahoo.com

From over $1,000 per share down to $29.

The Bush family's awl bidnesses seem like they made money for the Bushes, and lost money for the suckers, er, I mean the investing public.....

Re: Cheney fact is a red herring insinuation. Oil Company executives probably have to trade with every middle eastern country in order to stay in business.

Well they'd be better off not doing dumb deals like Dresser, for one. What kind of bonehead was Cheney for getting in front of the asbestos litigation buzzsaw? None too bright. Though he did sell out before the public got left holding an empty bag, again. And how about the fact that he cooked the books? As reported by the NY Times last week. That might better explain how he hoped to jack up the stock price.

Frankly, I'm aghast that you are now turning a blind eye to Cheney trading with the enemy. I see a common thread here.... hypocrisy amongst the Cheney crowd and their apologists and fellow travelers.
