I hate to get into this stupid ME conflict, but some of the postings are asking for the riposte. <<Israel is our watchman. Let's not shoot the watchman>> Why do we need a watchman? Maybe better, watchman needs US economic and military aid in the name of nationalists. They can't adopt to the fact that natives of this land have the rights to the land by birth. As for all acts of terrorism you forgot to add the simple question of WHY did they occur? Would US treated nations equal none of this would happen. Both sides would be equipped with the same kind of weapons and economic aid - problem solved. The reasons for terrorism against US are very simple - one and main one is the one sided policy in the region, second which cost them lately WTC is breaking their word. (Bin Laden was US ally up to the point where they broke the promise of withdrawal from Saudi Arabia after the conflict with Iraq). BTW, if you want an honest quiz maybe we should started with all the acts of terrorism in the region committed by Jews as well.

Eclectus: You wrote: You know not what you say! You are mistaken! In case you didn't know, there was a lot of tongue-in-cheek in what I wrote: I was humoring DSM for his pompous "pontifications". However, there is some truth in what I wrote and it is truth that is often bothersome to a lot of folks. I am glad to note that you, of all people, are frank enough to admit that Israel is not perfect. I also recognize that there is much truth in what marek_wojna wrote about Israel being given special treatment by the US. To be sure, the powerful Jewish lobby, media moguls, bankers and big business tycoons and others ("ineffable" groups) have been directly, or indirectly, responsible for the special treatment Israel enjoys. By the way, Hillary Clinton said that "Israel is the canary in the mine shaft" for a special self-serving reason. She got elected into the Senate, didn't she? Richnorth
