Now what do you do when all these trees you have growing which you intend to use to replay the hedge get infested with pine beetle and die? Your loggers strike for higher pay. The price of trees and logs skyrocket (it's a widespread plague)... Those beetles are a new mutant type and are resistant to all attempts to kill them. Who loses in your little example?
