As I said, those "clueless ones" usually have a tendency to pick good stocks. Go figger. One thing I take as a positive indicator is what I call the "Bolshevik Factor" of a message board thread. I'm convinced it's a market-beater. As for why-who knows? Perhaps people with enhanced tech knowledge have a tendency to let their non-tech opinions be dictated by the people they have been bowled over by during their education, which would mostly be left-leaning professors, who are just as clueless about the real world as they are. Either way, if SUNW reaches its old heights, I'm all for ponying up and throwing them a wine, brie, and tree-hugging party. We can even invite Alec Baldwin to give a speech that will make them, and any pets they may bring, look like insightful geniuses...
