yes msi, but they did not have any tulatins. So that makes all the difference. If they had tulatins, well it all would have turned out differently.

I mentioned problems with taxes, though I didn't mention debasement of coinage. However, the analysis is superficial. The Eastern and Western Empires both were quite extensive, and both had problems with overtaxation and debasement, and yet the Western Empire did not last past 500 AD, and the Eastern Empire lasted for almost a thousand years longer. Clearly, other factors were at play, mainly the ability to defend against invasion.......
