Check the record of the other admin officials eager for political benefits of a "forever war". Except for Powell, and he's the most diplomatic.

The rest are ready to head for the bunkers, declaring, "I can live with terrorism".

Let them and their families live like the rest of Americans, as sitting ducks. That'll change their opinions on priorities, whether to get serious about homeland defense, or play geopolitical nintendo and kiss Saudis robes.
