Glenayre Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEMS), a global provider of next-

deployed Glenayre's Versera(TM) Large Solution platform in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The IP-based platform provides U.S. Cellular customers with enhanced,
voice-based solutions and creates a more efficient network architecture to
support the company's future speech-based technologies.
Under the agreement, Glenayre's Versera Large Solution platform will help U.S.
Cellular customers manage their voice, fax and e-mail messages from a single,
centralized mailbox. Additionally, the platform will enable the company to
deploy unique speech-based applications, such as voice portals and multimedia
services, as well as provide enhanced technology to support U.S. Cellular's text
messaging services.
