I understand why you would not like it, and if I thought that the value of transgressiveness were the only lesson learned, I would agree with you. But I don't think that is quite it. Remember, the sister becomes a more serious person as a result, instead of a tease. I think that the point is that life is much more serious and troubling than a lot of people are prepared to acknowledge, and that you cannot truly live cut off from the deeper passions, however you handle them.......
