I would have been fine to leave it as it was a couple of weeks ago, when Poet posted her fond fairwells. Then I noticed some rather pompous posts where some sort of odd declarations were being made "not up to our level" and such; and where mocking posts were being contributed by persons who actually seem to enjoy the sadistic nature of being trifled with while playing the coquet. It actually began to look like a victory parade. Somebody called it dancing on graves I think. Very troubling.

But it mystifies me in light of the circumstances how you and any other reasonably intelligent person could continue to aid this known and confirmed scumbag in any way. I don't think that those who are giving aid and comfort are intending to do that, although that may be the net effect. I think that they are just honoring other priorities in human interaction like civility or inclusiveness. They may not see the extent to which their own priorities confound yours or they may simply think their own are more important to uphold.
