re: "Either way, we have no business protecting a colony which is only useful to those reaping the benefits of charity from Americans."

If Israel doesn't survive, neither does ANY Arab nation.

In my opinion, the reason that the left in Europe, Socialists and Progressives, have turned against Israel, is because Israel was the first post war Democracy to turn away from Western European Socialism.

I don't have your goat.

BTW what does <gg> mean?

Here's Where The Saying Came From!

Do you know that the term "Don't let them get your goat"?

It actually came from a time when racehorse owners and trainers use to keep a goat around the stable to calm the
horses down and act as companion animals for them.

When it was a race day for a particular horse, it was common for the opposing staff to try and sabotage the race by
stealing the goat of the barn that was entered against them in the race.

When the goat was taken, the horse would become very nervous and often did not do as well in the race.

It eventually became customary for supporters to wish their favorite teams good luck by saying "Don't let them get
your goat!"

Life is better, you see, when there are goats around!

Baaaa!
