"having an Armed Populace" Well that's one thing. A few handguns wouldn't have protected the victims of Operation Northwoods from the government, tho'. The most effective way to arm the populace is with full disclosure of government's deceptions, financial and military, as rapidly as possible. Operation Northwoods took 40 years. It should have been disclosed by someone in the JCS or intel immediately. That's why we need full disclosure, now. As Operation Northwoods shows, very few things qualify for actual "national security" classification.

Armed citizens, without political legitimacy who attempt to stand up to the government will be smashed by police state tactics, not limited to the sort of actions at Waco or Ruby Ridge, but also including the full propaganda efforts of the outfits like Rendon & Assoc. and Hill & Knowlton to portray average citizens struggling against a rogue government as being a "lunatic fringe". I see an armed and angry populace as an easy mark for the militarists. Only an informed electorate, willing to give up their "idiot nation" attention to trivia and distraction, can hope to overcome the evil that is being foisted on us in George Bush's America. -Ray
