A report on Paki Stink Tank by US Think Tank
Pakistan is America's fair-weather friend: US think tank
hindustantimes.com

And intellectual and military leaders in Pakistan must stop supporting the violent struggle in Jammu and Kashmir as it could cost Islamabad its nationhood, says the Cato Institute in a paper.
"Islamabad would be making a mistake were it to count on its nuclear capability or its ties with Washington to change such calculations." To put it differently, Cato says, "the Pakistanis have to realise that supporting the so-called freedom fighters of Kashmir could threaten their own survival as a nation.
Hence, pressing the Indians to not respond to terrorist acts and resisting Indian calls for America to condemn anti-Indian terrorism in Kashmir reflect more than morally dubious 'double standards'.

"Such a policy runs contrary to US national interests and is just the latest demonstration of the way the Pakistani tail can wag the American dog," Cato stresses.

Place US (Coalition) troops on the Indo-pak border to pursue the terrorists and prevent cross-border terrorism. It
makes sense, because the alternative Indo-Pak war is more costly to US in all aspects.

OF COURSE, IT MAKES SENSE! Ever since the British left, the subcontinent has been a mess. It is about time the West became the policeman in the subcontinent again.

Fishing in LoC is Excellent
US is interested in capturing the Al Qaeda and the Taliban. They are hiding or given cover by the locals in the Northwestern pakistan. They escape and cross the LoC to Kashmir with the collusion of the Paki military. That is where (LoC) the catch is very promising. What is US waiting for? They are not going to bite the bottom and say, " Here I am, take me."
