KT, I don't trust this survey. GM builds trucks. People are satisfied because they got what they wanted - something huge. When you buy a Jap car you are very picky. Basically your expectation of a Jap vehicle are much higher than if you buy a domestic one.

Thought Subarus had a much better reputation for quality than the others on the list. Since they don't differentiate between quality defects of a serious mechanical nature versus cosmetic defects, it's hard to really tell anything. Honda just had a major recall for their ignition system, 2.5 million cars, same as the Fords last year. See a lot of Hondas, much more than any other make, go on the market 2-4 years after purchase.
