The Chrysler Slant Six was a great engine

Not mine. My first car was a '63 Dodge Dart with a slant six. I think it had 80k miles on it. When I floored it, you could see the smoke poor out of the exhaust. That thing burned a quart of oil every other tank of gas.

I had a Valiant with a slant 6 as a teenager - I used to call it the Leaning Tower of Power - oogly box of a car actually, but I liked it

Horgad, Maybe it was because of where I lived, but my 1977 Corolla never had any rust. I owned it in many places: Northern Calif., Philadelphia, Kansas City, Minnesota, Dallas and Houston.

If they build a good engine at Chrysler, they get rid of it. <g>
