It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of fellows. LOL. The same phrase has crossed my mind many times. The irony that they collectively used Industrial Policy to pick a winner which turned out to not only be a loser, but such a big loser that it would drag them all down in sight of bankruptcy says it all.

after all it was the governments who hyped the spectrum and the greed of the network operators who drove up the price so the solution needs to be addressed by both parties

yes, i agree. as the DT CEO said, it was economic suicide. they should give back the spectrum to the govts and just build out EDGE. too bad for QCOM if this highly rational solution comes true.
