Actually, no one, to my knowledge, accused him of being weak in the relevant sense. Instead, they accused him of being a stubborn cowboy committed to unilateralism. They may have thought it stupid, but it is not weak.

They are appropriate now.......To not have retaliated would have invited more suicide bombers........

I still do not see where I changed the subject to complacency. I was going from point to point, and answered as seemed appropriate. I was addressing the need to face that there are going to be risks for some time, before we see the end of this.......
