Dear Thread:

I just realized that a transition to 128 bits and 256 bit addressing is possible if the addresses are scattered with certain bits of them being used for only certain purposes. Like say the first 128 bits is the IPv6 address, the next 16 is the HT2 address and so on leading to a global/universal address. Everyone is assuming a monolithic continuous memory model. That is not typical even in today's PCs.
