I shall be MOST INTERESTED in hearing jttmab's response to that. His otherwise excellent memory seems to have dropped the fact that race riots and discrimination are hardly unknown in Europe.

And, yes, that barbed wire bit excited a great deal of outrage here. And stiff sentences for the perpetrators.

However, jttmab generally does forget that he is American. Although I notice he hasn't told us he has renounced his US citizenship in shame. Or has any intent to do so.

Here's a link that seems to look at the global problem of hate crimes. You'll be happy to see that the UK gets a spot as does Ireland, Brazil, and Canada. What other countries make the list?
