Sorry, but you recall wrong and I'm not going to let you get away with re-writing history.

EGBT did request their trading to be halted, but I will for the purpose of this post concede the possibility that the SEC halted trading for reasons of their own. Either way it went, this would've been irrelevant to my original thesis that many short-traders could've been caught in the stock with significant short positions, regardless of the reason for a trading stop. I believed then (and even now) that the EGBT bashers performed extreme overkill on this company .

Indeed, I had expounded on this very same theory on the RB board on February 15, well before my deleted post was made on Silicon Investor. The post I made on SI was 'toned down' and re-worded from the below posts, but the gist was the same.
