Eric,

Perhaps you could give me your recollections of those "important distinctions that don't."

Because government intervention impacts the technology adoption life cycle so significantly, the distinction is that the life cycle doesn't evolve in exactly the same way as markets that don't involve such strong government intervention. As a result, the Gorilla has less control over the growth of the value chain and is more subject to the whims of governments.

Or something to that effect.
